On the Move

The Great Reno Balloon Race of 2018 looks like the perfect place to take a camera. See https://renoballoon.com/. With so many excellent photos already on the website, why would I go and take more? Because my friends Carroll and Dianne, with whom I visited the Grand Canyon, Costa Rica and Utah, have been before; they enjoyed it so much they’re going back and have kindly invited me to come along. And it looks like a heck of a lot of fun!

Dianne and Carroll at the Grand Canyon

Dianne and Carroll from northern California are picking me up at the Sacramento airport on Thursday. We’ll stay in Reno for two nights, and then head to San Francisco where I will visit with my excellent little grandsons. More fun!

The not so much fun part will be getting to the balloon park before 5 am two days running but such is the life of a wannabe photographer. If I manage to capture some worthy-of-sharing photos, I’ll post them here.

Transport in the Fes souk

On another topic altogether, seven of my Morocco photos will be on display at a small theatre in Vancouver from September 6th to 30th. I am holding a reception and viewing on Sunday, September 23rd from 5 pm to 7 pm. If any of my readers are thinking of a trip to Vancouver in late September, let me know! I will provide further information.

In the meantime, I hope you’ll come along with me to the Great Reno Balloon Race of 2018!

Hi Myrna, you should be able to find out here: https://renoballoon.com/ I haven’t been before and don’t know Reno at all, so I’m afraid I can’t pinpoint it for you other than it’s in or near Reno somewhere!

The adventures continue! Wish I could attend your photo exhibit but for the rest of this month need to stay in Manitoba. Am writing this in San Diego but head home tomorrow, via YVR. Enjoy the balloons and of course your grandsons.

Thanks Helen. I hope San Diego was restful and smoke free. Vancouver has had a bad time of it this year.
