On the Move

Barmy in Eureka

Barmy in Eureka
Meyers Creek Beach, OR

There was quite a change in the weather today – misty over the water and so softly lovely. I drove south out of Oregon and into northern California. The georgaphy changed along the way which kept the drive interesting.

I passed some interesting “art galleries” along the way …

Dinosaurs in Bandon, OR!
Just south of Crescent CIty, CA

and some beautiful coast scenes.

Battle Rock, OR
Another beach near Battle Rock, OR
South of Crescent City, CA. Another expansive beach but a lot more people than in Oregon.

The last part of today’s drive took me through redwood forests which I find truly inspiring. Some of the trees could be as old as 1,000 years. I had to dodge traffic to get any kind of a photo, so this is not the best, just my today best.

Driving through a redwood forest

I am looking forward to my drive along a spectacular stretch of the California coast tomorrow. Bye for now! See you tomorrow!

“Splendid and enchanting scenery” comes to my mind when looking at your beautiful blog photos. I especially love the first photo showing the area South of Coos Bay. The rocks in the mist look so beautiful! The outdoors Art Galleries are also very interesting and funny!

It has been tonic for the soul to get out of the usual isolation and breathe lots of fresh air and see new sights!

Great photos, Nancy! I had forgotten just how beautiful and expansive the coastline was! Your photos certainly give a feel for that.
