I can only dream of being able to do this – the push-ups, not the other thing. I’m already pretty good at the other thing.Fourteen days of quarantine have passed and I am well except for a touch of boredom which isn’t typically listed as one of the many COVID-19 symptoms. Fortunately quarantining guidelines allow for daily wanders around my neighbourhood with my camera and these have broken up my days.
Quarantining hasn’t been too onerous though it has become increasingly boring as I mentioned above. My provincial government has called me three times asking if I had any symptoms of COVID-19, if I were able to maintain a distance from any vulnerable person, and if I needed anything. No, yes, no – but good of you to call. The federal government has sent me two emails reminding me that “everyone has a role to play to protect Canadians from COVID-19.”
Before I left Vancouver I stock piled various non-perishable and frozen foodstuffs and a fair selection of wine. When I ran short I discovered a service called Instacart that offers a 14-day free-delivery trial for groceries and other necessities – just the right length for a trial! I have videochatted daily with family and chatted with friends. But I miss face to face (or mask to mask) interactions with friends and am looking forward to emerging as a full-fledged member of society a mere few hours from now! 🥳
Thank you for coming along with me on my COVID-19 road trip; I have loved sharing it with you. Sadly, goodness only knows when the opportunity to travel will again present itself.
I will say so long for now with a selection of my favourite photos from the past two weeks. Take care, stay safe, and I hope to see you, virtually or in real life, soon!
A celebration in the park
A tryst? Not actually raining out.
Nice day for a chat
Time for a nap
Thinking about this and that …
BC blueberries in the market. Not for me, though, I was in quarantine!
The mask is to cover mouth and nose! Chin doesn’t count.
Masks mandatory!
