On the Move

Shooting the Grand Tetons Day 1

The day started early, cold and foggy. At Oxbow Bend on the Snake River, the Tetons were obscured by weather so we motored on to more promising locations. Eventually the fog dissipated, we returned to Oxbow Bend, and had a great day of shooting.

Waiting for the weather to clear at Oxbow Bend…

Finally, the weather cleared on the main event of the day. Mount Moran at Oxbow Bend on the Snake River.

The photo below was not the major event, but the location deserves special mention.

A sunset shoot at Schawbacher Landing was a little disappointing. We are shooting this same scene tomorrow at sunrise when the sun will be on the mountains instead of behind. It will be fun to compare the two images.

Russell is letting us sleep in tomorrow – leaving at 6 am instead of today’s 5:45. See you anon!
