Our final day in the Grand Tetons was dedicated to finding wildlife. This park is usually crawling with moose, elk, longhorn sheep, badgers, beavers, foxes, marmots and and other animals, but not this week. Apparently the longhorn sheep herd has been struggling with pneumonia, while the rest must just have been feeling camera shy.
This morning we found three moose, two of which I was able (barely) to shoot. Not great photos, but proof that moose do exist in Grand Teton National Park.

We found the fox (above) in someone’s front yard! Russell, our leader, was much relieved after our sightings. He had been apologizing for days about the absence of wildlife.
This winds up my Back Country Journey to Grand Teton National Park. I have been absolutely astounded by its beauty. It’s well worth a visit if you have a chance.
Bye for now! Take care! Thanks for traveling with me!
